Samantha joined the clinic in September 2023 after “the stars aligned” for her to finally pursue her childhood interest in vet med. Though she describes herself as an extremely shy introvert, she finds it incredibly rewarding to help critically sick pets and their families on the road to recovery. At home, her house is ruled by Chief, a mini dachshund who perches on the couch like a bird and steals baby teethers. Samantha is a night owl and a “romantasy” book lover who dreams of visiting Valaris. Her hidden talent is “cute doodles,” and her love for giant breeds stems from growing up reading Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Dr Lucas says… Sam is a German Shorthaired Pointer: Sam often sees something before anyone else and is always ready to work. Sam has many skills and often will learn a task so quickly and efficiently that the rest of us are in awe. Sam’s secret talent is that she is an artist and can make anything look beautiful!
