Josh Lucas Finance & Property Manager/Owner
Josh has been involved since the clinic’s remodeling began in 2016. Seeing it as a perfect opportunity to help the family business while enjoying a rewarding change of environment, Josh changed careers from being a Middle School teacher and began full time work at CVC in 2021. Known as the clinic’s “IT wizard”, his signature move is “turning computers on and off” to save the day just when a team member has given up. Josh is a morning person who coaches varsity girls’ basketball at Ogemaw Heights and loves the music of Garth Brooks. A fun fact from his childhood: in middle school, he raised a duck named Ferdinand in a washing machine box in his bedroom! If he were an animal, he’d be a Bengal Tiger—bold, powerful, and full of presence.
Josh is enjoying the new career and the challenges that come with it. Being part of a workplace that makes decisions for both clients as well as our own team based on Core Values provides such an important part of wellbeing and workplace gratification. He believes that the culture of CVC is what makes CVC a great place to both work and bring furry family members. He loves helping the team at CVC work through challenges, developing systems that make the clinic’s work more efficient, and being a positive part of people’s lives in a new, exciting way.
In his free time, Josh loves sports and cheering on his favorite teams, whether local high school kids, MSU Spartans, or even the Denver Broncos. He is the Girls Varsity Basketball coach at Ogemaw Heights. Hunting, boating and fishing are his favorite summer activities. Being the Dad of three little girls provides multiple adventures year round. Josh was born in West Branch, but has lived in quite a few other places including Colorado, Oklahoma, and even Hawaii. Being “back home” has always been a preference and he loves that he is able to help provide our local community the kind of care CVC offers and proudly provides.
Dr Lucas says… Josh is a Labrador retriever: Josh loves everyone and everyone loves Josh. He always sees the good inside people and wants to help them be the best version of themselves. Josh’s zest for life and food are unbeatable and he is as loyal as they come. Josh is a teacher at heart and since making CVC his classroom he has been focused on maintaining a high functioning practice, while making sure all of his “students” are constantly learning and growing into the best versions of themselves.
